Makridis Associates at Werkbund Galerie, Berlin !

We are honored to be part of the exhibition at Werkbund Galerie in Berlin, presenting the Holocaust Museum of Greece in Thessaloniki.

Designed in collaboration with EK A Efrat-Kowalsky Architects and Heide & von Beckerath, the museum stands as a monument to Thessaloniki’s rich multicultural history and the enduring presence of its Jewish community. Beyond remembrance, it serves as a beacon for tolerance and a shared future.

At a time when the world faces rising exclusion, displacement, and conflict, this project delivers a crucial message: memory must be preserved, diversity must be celebrated, and history must guide us toward a more inclusive future.

The exhibition unfolds the project’s complexity through photographs, plans, models, and material references, accompanied by a curated selection of books on Thessaloniki’s Jewish heritage. A series of photographs by Andrew Alberts further enriches the narrative.
