Our design philosophy is rooted in delivering distinct design alternatives, each with a strong identity while maintaining a foundation of efficient and well-structured planning. In this project, our team prioritized key principles of sustainable design and development, ensuring alignment with the overarching vision of Foster + Partners’ Masterplan, its programmatic priorities, and the prescribed building requirements.
The primary design considerations focused on:
Sense of Neighborhood & Community – Creating environments that foster interaction and a shared identity.
Environmental Sustainability & High Energy Performance – Integrating passive and active strategies for energy efficiency and resilience.
Management of Views – Ensuring optimal visual connections while balancing privacy and openness.
Comfortable and Functional Living Spaces – Enhancing user experience through well-proportioned layouts and adaptable spaces.
Quality of Circulation in Public Areas – Prioritizing seamless movement and accessibility within shared spaces.
The “Masterly” proposal remains fully consistent with the initial Masterplan, adopting a rigorous yet clear and functional architectural approach. The design emphasizes an evenly distributed arrangement of uniform volumes, ensuring balanced density across the site. Canonical passageways and a rhythmic distribution of vertical cores enhance both efficiency and spatial clarity.
On residential levels, outdoor spaces are strategically offset along the full perimeter of each floor, except in areas where closer adjacency necessitates adjustments for privacy. This articulation of terraces and balconies enhances spatial fluidity while maintaining a cohesive urban frontage.
Similarly, the landscape design follows a structured, symmetrical, and pragmatic approach, reinforcing the functional and rational nature of the overall scheme. This ensures not only aesthetic coherence but also practical usability, aligning with the broader architectural vision of clarity, order, and efficiency.
